| Character: Rokujo Miharu (Rokujo Miharu and the Shinrabanshou) Series/Fandom: Nabari no Ou Original or Alternate: Alternate Barracks: Yil-Tria Training Division: Age: 14 (human), indeterminable (god) Gender: Male (human), none (god) Species: Human with a god trapped inside Sexuality: Undecided Appearance: Miharu stands at a height of 5’ 2” (157 cm) and weighs 77 pounds (35 kilograms). He has short black hair and green eyes that tend to take on an apathetic look. He usually wears his school uniform due to a complete lack in clothes knowledge, and therefore mostly wears a loose short sleeved white button down shirt, plaid pants, tennis shoes, and a black tie. His skin is pale but not so much that he neither looks white nor burns easily. He often has a fixed gaze to match his usually indifferent face. When the Shinrabanshou is activated or possessing him in some way, characters cover his body and his eyes turn red. The Shinrabanshou itself takes on the appearance of a tall girl wearing a strangely patterned kimono. She has long white hair and reddish orange eyes. Occasionally the image of the Shinrabanshou is superimposed on his own. Personality: Miharu is known amongst his friends as the “king of indifference” due to the fact that he outwardly appears as indifferent most of the time. This however is just a front to keep him separate from people so that they don’t get hurt because of him. He is a caring person on the inside. The better he knows someone, the less he appears indifferent around them. He has no problems with being “cute” to get what he wants. He hates having the Shinrabanshou inside of him but will grudgingly use it if he must. The Shinrabanshou has a completely different personality than Miharu’s. It has no problem hurting people to get what it wants and even enjoys seeing their pain. It often tempts Miharu with the idea of granting what ever he wishes for, waiting for the day that he will give in and make a wish, allowing it control, even temporary control, over his body. When it senses that Miharu is close to using it, the Shinrabanshou often uses its power to try and break the minds of those around him that could possibly interfere. It enjoys pulling minds into its alternate space and tormenting them. It will do anything to get what it wants, even if that means inflicting physical or mental pain on Miharu. Abilities/Strengths: Miharu is training to become a ninja so that he doesn’t have to rely on the Shinrabanshou and therefore has a certain amount of skill in techniques, but has terrible physical attacks. He has a strong will that enables him to resist influence, especially that of the Shinrabanshou. If he needs to though, he can activate the Shinrabanshou. He’s also a very good cook and student. The Shinrabanshou has control over anything it wishes, including time, nature, and even the human heart, as implied by the meaning of its name, “all things in nature”. This also means that it can read minds and see all past memories. However it is usually sealed inside of Miharu and has no influence on the outside world. Occasionally it will pull someone’s mind into its own space and will try to break them, but is usually stopped by something happening in the outside world. It appears in the outside world when its “wisdom” is overflowing, usually causing trees and other growth to come up, completely defying the laws of nature. It can also appear if Miharu is forced to use its power, and then it enjoys wrecking havoc, but is forced to keep within the laws of nature due to the restrictions of Miharu’s mortal body. Weaknesses: Miharu’s main weakness is his friends. When they are in trouble he will sometimes go against his better judgment and use the Shinrabanshou to help them. He also doesn’t remember his childhood and sometimes it haunts him, causing his mind to weaken, potentially giving the Shinrabanshou an opening to take control of his body. His other weakness is his lack of physical strength- running and dodging only gets him so far and once caught, he has trouble getting away from danger. The Shinrabanshou’s weakness is the limitation that Miharu’s mortal body places on it. When actively controlling its power, it must obey the laws of nature, but in order to defy the laws of nature, it must let its “wisdom” act on its own accord, something that can only occur when the seal on it weakens temporarily and it is not activated by Miharu. Notable Possessions: Miharu doesn’t have any notable possessions. |

| History: When Miharu was a small child it was discovered that he had the Shinrabanshou within him. This knowledge made their entire clan go crazy with greed for the power that he contained within him. Only his older brother, Thobari was able to keep his sanity and protected Miharu from the others. This however meant killing everyone, including their parents and grandparents. Unable to defeat all of the clan however, Thobari was forced to run with Miharu. The other ninjas caught up quickly however, and surrounded, Thobari was ready to protect Miharu with his life. The Shinrabanshou, sensing that Miharu was in danger and knowing that it could not fully activate with its host being so young, used a great deal of power to destroy most of the attackers and completely erase the memories of what occurred from all of those involved in any way. It also altered the memory of an old couple into believing that Miharu was their grandson, giving him a home away from the ninja world so he could grow up to be able to activate it in safety. Thus, Miharu gained a new identity in the world, growing up with his “grandparents” and believing that his parents died when he was young and that he simply has poor memory of his childhood, when in fact, he has none at all. While in middle school he began to make friends with another boy named Aizawa Kouichi who claimed to be a ninja studying under their English teacher, Kumohira Thobari Dyurandaru. He was approached by the two of them on multiple occasions to learn to be a ninja, but rejected them every time. He was not at this point in time aware that he had the Shinrabanshou within him, however, Kouichi and Thobari did know. While shopping for his grandmother one afternoon, Miharu was drawn by an ominous wind to a shrine where he observed Kouichi fighting another man who was a substitute teacher at their school. Kouichi, knowing what Miharu had inside of him and knowing that the other man did too, tried to flee with Miharu but ended up running into two other people who were allies of the man he had been fighting. Before they could fight much longer, the Shinrabanshou tried to tempt Miharu into releasing it and then killing the attackers, but Miharu rejected the offer, not knowing what was happening. The “wisdom” of the Shinrabanshou began to overflow and trees grew from where Miharu stood, trying to kill the attackers. Kouichi, worried about the Shinrabanshou, ran Miharu through with a katana, trying to seal the Shinrabanshou. This forced Miharu’s conscious inside of the Shinrabanshou’s space where it once again offered him anything that he wished for. He denied it again saying that he didn’t want anything, and it told him that he would call on it one day. In the outside world, Thobari had arrived and deactivated the seal that Kouichi had attempted, and the “wisdom” pulled back inside of Miharu. No harm came to Miharu from the incident as the Shinrabanshou caused him to heal completely in a matter of hours. Miharu soon traveled to a ninja village called Fuuma with Kouichi, Thobari, and a young samurai girl named Shimizu Raimei. Upon arrival they discovered that the protection spells had been broken and the village attacked. They engaged the attackers in battle and things looked hopeless as they discovered one of the attackers had mastered the forbidden technique, kira, which allowed him to inflict damage on them at will. Although they survived thanks to the timely arrival of the Fuuma ninja, everyone had been severely injured due to the fact that the attackers, who identified themselves as the Kairoushuu, decided they also wanted the Shinrabanshou inside of Miharu. Miharu trained at Fuuma for a few weeks before returning back home. Not long after his return, Kouichi and Raimei were over at his house when Yoite, the kira user, kidnapped him, knocking his friends out. Yoite took him to an abandoned lot where he asked Miharu to destroy his existence using the Shinrabanshou. At first Miharu refused, but after hearing Yoite’s reasons, he agreed, and was returned to his home. After lying about what Yoite wanted with him, Thobari privately confronted him about his lies. After he finally reveals what he agreed to do, Thobari insists that he cannot do that. Eventually they compromised when Miharu said that he would reconsider using the Shinrabanshou. Miharu and his friends came up against the Kairoushuu again as both groups wanted a forbidden technique called Izura Shingan. While Miharu’s group negotiated with the current holders for the technique, one of them, Oda Yae, tried to break down Miharu’s mind only to get pulled into an unhappy Shinrabanshou’s space. It then almost broke Yae’s mind but Thobari interfered in the outside world before any permanent damage could be done. Later, Yoite and Miharu were forced to fight each other, and Miharu’s seriousness about the fights surprised Yoite. However, before the fight could get too bloody, Kouichi and Raimei completed the objective that Yae gave them, gaining the right to the Izura Shingan. The Kairoushuu retreated after that, and the technique was given to Fuuma Village for safekeeping. A little while after that, Miharu fell sick while helping Thobari carry groceries to his house. While resting there, Thobari once again asked him about his intentions pertaining Yoite’s wish. Miharu insisted that he was still undecided even though he had made up his mind to follow through with the plan. Just as the argument was about to come to blows, Thobari’s wife returned home with an unconscious man that she found, being none other than Yoite. Thobari grudgingly gave Yoite shelter at his house and this gave Miharu a chance to talk to Yoite again. When Thobari overheard Miharu telling Yoite that he intended to keep his promise, they argued again, resulting in Miharu leaving with Yoite to join the Kairoushuu. Miharu did not stay away from his friends long however, for both the Kairoushuu and his friends were both after another technique called Daya. Both sides however became caught up in a plot set in motion by a “traitor” inside of the Kouga Village, the current holder of the technique. They were attacked by ninja within the village and Yoite was badly injured in the fighting. He then told Miharu that he didn’t want to die. Miharu, touched by this, realized that he and Yoite are similar, and asked the Shinrabanshou to help him save Yoite. It activated and inflicted various forms of mental pain on the attackers so that Miharu would have time to save Yoite. In the middle of this however, Thobari came and tried to stop Miharu. During his struggle against Miharu, he began to see the Shinrabanshou instead of Miharu, but in the end forced it to deactivate. The “traitor” in the village then revealed himself and ended up killed, ending the battle. Kouga Village gave the Daya technique to Miharu who decided to keep it with him and didn’t give it to either side. Those who were wounded were taken to a hospital, including Yoite. Everyone decided to rest there until everyone had recovered. After Yoite woke up and Miharu knew he was alright but hadn’t had the chance to talk with him, the Shinrabanshou decided to have a talk with Miharu. It once again tempted him with any wish and he said that he would call upon it if he ever needed it, and when it became angry with it, he reminded it that it lived in his body. The Shinrabanshou, amused by his words and satisfied that he would call on it again, returned him to the outside world, but when he opened his eyes, he wasn’t in Japan anymore. |
